Using a computerized system, responds to customer inquiries in a call center environment.

May perform one or more of the following: Responds to telephone inquiries and complaints using standard scripts and procedures.



Gathers information, researches/resolves inquiries and logs customer calls.



Communicates appropriate options for resolution in a timely manner.



Informs customers about services available and assesses customer needs.



Provides functional guidance, training and assistance to lower level staff.



Provides assistance, training and troubleshooting support to lower level staff.



Schedules work to ensure accurate phone coverage; monitors priority of calls and shifts escalated calls to assure resolution to problems.

Prepares standard reports to track workload, response time and quality of input.



Assists in planning and implementing department goals and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.



All other duties as assigned.

Responsible for securing prior authorization for oncology treatment regimens to include radiation therapy and drug administration, interviewing all new patients, assisting patients in securing financial assistance for treatment, verifies deductible and out of pocket expense, communicating payment policies to patients, collecting complete, accurate information, researching deceased accounts, responsible for contacting foundations sources, copayment resources and national associations for financial assistance for cancer care. Responsible for securing drug replacement for Oncology drugs. Collects out-of-pocket expense. Ability to be self directed. Assists in establishing financial assistance protocol in satellite oncology facilities including travel to satellite locations Serves as a liaison for relaying patient authorization and benefit information to patients, staff and physicians. Maintains records on all referrals/precertifications. Maintains patient follow-up tickler system. Provides back up registration coverage for the front desk as needed.
